Iranian media announced the upcoming agreement between Azerbaijan and Israel

One of Iran’s largest news agencies, ISNA, reports: “The Republic of Azerbaijan’s state-owned company SOCAR, together with the Israeli company New Med Energy and the British oil and gas company BP, has obtained licenses to explore natural gas near the Leviathan gas field. According to ISNA, the Israeli regime and the Republic of Azerbaijan are expected to sign a working plan this month for exploring and developing offshore natural gas reserves" in Israel’s territorial waters.

ISNA also notes that Israel is one of Azerbaijan’s largest arms suppliers. In return, Baku exports “a significant volume of oil” to the Jewish state.
