Azerbaijan Supplies 40% of Israel’s Oil, Strengthening Strategic Alliance

"About 40% of Israel’s crude oil comes from Azerbaijan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which runs through Turkey. If Turkey blocked or restricted this supply, Israel could face an immediate energy crisis, threatening both its economy and national security," according to Times of Israel.

The BESA think tank, in its policy paper containing recommendations for the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance (Azerbaijan-Israel-USA), emphasized: "In 2024, during the war with Hamas and Hezbollah, when the IDF had an urgent need for an uninterrupted fuel supply, Azerbaijan increased its oil exports to Israel by 55%."
