The Knesset will host a speech on Israeli-Azerbaijani relations

This afternoon, an important speech will take place in the Israeli parliament regarding Israel-Azerbaijan relations in the context of the Trump administration's regional policy. The speech will be delivered by a representative of the Shas party, which is part of Netanyahu's governing coalition. The decision to hold this speech was made by the Shas leadership in coordination with coalition partners following a front-page article in Iran Daily on March 1. This newspaper is overseen by the chief of staff of the Iranian president's office. These documents highlighted Azerbaijan’s unique role in Israel’s regional security architecture and included recommendations for the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance involving the US. In response, the mouthpiece of the Iranian regime called for increasing military presence along the Azerbaijani border and strengthening cooperation with Armenia to undermine Israeli and U.S. interests in the region.
