Knesset MP: Iranian regime mouthpiece called for measures against Azerbaijan

Speaking today in the main hall of the Knesset, Moshiashvili, a member of the coalition party Shas, announced—after coordinating with the Office of the Prime Minister  —"A few days ago, a newspaper widely regarded as the mouthpiece of the Iranian regime published a call to take measures against Azerbaijan. Iranian dissatisfaction was triggered by two reports recently released by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA). The front page of the Ayatollahs' mouthpiece stated that Iranian state structures responsible for foreign policy and security should thoroughly examine these reports. In this context, a recommendation was put forward to strike at US and Israeli interests in the region...  

A few words about the Begin-Sadat Center’s report: the first report presents facts that unequivocally demonstrate that Azerbaijan, a Muslim-majority Shiite country with a secular form of governance, is not only a reliable ally of Israel within the Muslim world but also a crucial pillar of Israel’s regional security system. The second report from the Begin-Sadat Center outlined recommendations for the Trump administration. It proposed elevating the strategic partnership between Israel and Azerbaijan to a trilateral alliance by incorporating the United States, with the goal of strengthening the alliance system in the region".
