US and Canadian rabbis send letter to Trump over Azerbaijan

The leadership of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the USA and Canada, the oldest and most influential organization of ultra-Orthodox rabbis in the U.S., sent a letter to President Trump on February 4. It states: "…We ask you to consider Azerbaijan in the same light as those nations that have joined the Abraham Accords… The countries that joined the Abraham Accords received positive incentives and benefits in exchange for making peace with Israel. However, Azerbaijan became an exceptionally reliable Israel in every situation – even in the face of opposition and ongoing pressure from the Muslim world. Repealing the Section 907 amendment might be a very good gesture of recognition" (excerpts from this letter are being published for the first time).
