“Education is key to predicting the trajectory of a country’s international relations and politics, and so the trend of incorporating more positive content towards Israel bodes well for Azerbaijani-Israeli relations... Overall, the Azerbaijani curriculum meets IMPACT-se international standards regarding Israel and Jews. Azerbaijan promotes the freedom of religion and tolerance, creating an open environment for all religions to flourish, including Judaism.” This is highlighted in the February report by the Israeli think tank Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se), titled "Israel and Jews in Azerbaijani Education."
The BESA think tank, in its policy paper containing recommendations for the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance (Azerbaijan-Israel-USA), cited the aforementioned report and emphasized: "Azerbaijan has become the first Muslim-majority country to include a definition of antisemitism in its textbooks."
