Azerbaijan's strengths can help the US and Israel shape a new Middle East

"By leveraging Azerbaijan's strengths, the U.S. and Israel have the opportunity to shape a new Middle East to counter Iranian influence and ensure the security of regional energy resources,” according to the Center for Arab Eurasian Studies (CAES).

A policy paper by the BESA think tank, which provided recommendations to the Trump administration on forming a trilateral alliance between Azerbaijan, Israel, and the U.S., noted: “The Israeli leadership and national diplomacy—both governmental and public—should judiciously direct Washington’s attention to those actors in the geopolitical landscape of the Eastern Mediterranean and Western Asia who have long-established strategic partnerships with Jerusalem and can positively impact the role of the Jewish state in Trump’s envisioned ‘new Middle East.’”
