Azerbaijan is involved in key sectors of the Israeli economy

“Azerbaijan, which has obtained a significant share in the development of gas fields on Israel’s maritime shelf, is quite closely involved in key sectors of the Israeli economy. This fact… is an element of the partnership in the two countries’ national security system,” Professor Ze'ev Khanin of Ariel University and Bar-Ilan University told Zerkalo.az. He is a co-author of two policy papers published in January and February by the BESA think tank, which highlight Azerbaijan’s special role in Israel’s regional security architecture and include recommendations to the Trump administration for forming a trilateral alliance (Azerbaijan–Israel–USA).
